We launched the ‘Technical Handbook for the Conservation and Restoration of Riparian Areas’
This is a technical handbook written by various authors that provides a synthesis of the concept of river and riparian metaecosystems and outlines the restoration strategies and techniques designed and implemented within the framework of the European Union project 'LIFE ALNUS, Restoration, conservation and governance. of the Alnus alluvial forests in the Mediterranean Region (LIFE16 NAT/ES/000768)' (www.lifealnus.eu), which addresses the design of a multi-scalar strategy for the conservation of Alnus glutinosa riparian forests at a regional scale.
The manual is aimed at technicians, scientists, managers and students interested in the ecology and conservation of river ecosystems.
